Background

After completing her combined German and French legal degree at Saarbrücken (Centre juridique franco-allemand) and Cologne, Sonja Locatelli began her career at the EU Commission in the staff of Günter Verheugen, the Ministry of Regional Policy in Paris (DATAR), and a commercial law firm in the U.K. Having been accredited as Attorney at Law in 2006, Sonja Locatelli spent a number of years at a medium-sized Franco-German law firm with legal, fiscal, and auditing specialists, based in Frankfurt/Main. In 2009, she was accredited as specialist solicitor for fiscal law and, in 2011, as certified tax advisor.
